Mail Boss Withstands Prying Attempts
Yesterday, a couple contacted us about repairing or replacing their Mail Boss. A thief had pried open several mailboxes in their Seattle area neighborhood. The thief was unable to break into their Mail Boss, and their mail remained safe. Unfortunately, the prying attempts left some damage to the powder-coated finish.
As you can see from the pictures below, there was no damage to the patented anti-pry latch locking mechanism, which is designed to prevent thieves from prying open the Mail Boss. Ultimately, the Mail Boss did its job – it prevented a thief from gaining access to mail. Unfortunately, damaged powder-coat leaves the mailbox vulnerable to rust, so we offered this couple a replacement Mail Boss at wholesale pricing.
Do you have an anecdote to share with us? We would love to include it on our blog!
