Just For Fun: Epoch Design’s Mail Boss
As I was walking to Epoch Design‘s company mailbox to pick up the business mail today —melting, by the way, in this crazy triple digit Seattle summer heat—it occured to me that I have never shared the story of the “Mail Boss” trademark. So here goes…
John DeRaspe, partner and VP of Epoch Design and my uncle, originally came up with the Mail “Boss” name, undoubtedly to honor one bad ass car and his pride and joy: the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang.
Everyone agreed “Mail Boss” was a great name, and thus Epoch Design’s locking security mailbox division was branded. Of course, the original birth of the locking mailbox concept was born when our company’s mail was stolen repeatedly. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention.
Now, our company’s mail is safe and secure in a MailBoss locking mailbox, customized in the style of the 1970 Boss Mustang. Here are some images I took with my cell phone this morning. Enjoy!!!!
