Lock Cover

I love the mailbox. The accessory lock covers do their job well to protect the locking mechanism. The rubber material used for the lock protector, with the constant bending of the strap portion, does not last more than 1-2 years if you are diligent with applying a rubber protection like 303.
The strap breaks where it meets the cup that covers the lock due to solar damage and repeated bending with use. I repaired the break with Super Glue after about 1.0 year but the fix only lasted for a few more months.
I use the product because it does protect the lock. I purchased several replacements knowing it is not built to last. It would be nice if the design used better materials and there wasn't a $9 fee + shipping every year or so to replace it.

It should come standard with each lockable mailbox.

Arrived in a timely manner and seems to be made well.

It is a little fiddley to close and I hope it keeps the snow and ice out. So far so good.
