Installed over a 4x4 and fit with little wiggle room. A few anchor screws in the bottom holes and is solid.

I had tried to purchase this through one of their resellers and got nothing for 30 days. Went directly to manufacturer and got it within 4 days. Easy to install over existing 4x4, mounted the box with ease, quality seems great. Would recommend to anyone as well as the locking package mailbox.

I purchased the 43-inch in-ground post for my Mail Boss mailbox, which I had previously purchased at a local retailer. I was going to use an existing 4X4 wooden post for mounting but fortunately decided to purchase the post, via the website. The 43-inch in-ground is top quality and arrived 4 days. (The locking Mail Boss mailbox is top quality, as well, and in my opinion is the best on the market). The post was packed well, with great instructions and bolts included, and was in perfect condition upon arrival. I lag bolted an 18-inch pressure treated 4X4 extension to the post and lag bolt "dogs" to each side prior to ground installation.
